The same age gap can be shown in different ways. You may see years, months and days, total days, or weeks and days.
Use the calculator to see these answers together.
Total days
Total days count every full day that passed between the two dates. Leap days are included automatically.
This is useful when you want one clear number.
Weeks and days
One week has seven days. To show weeks, divide the total days by seven.
For example, 24 days equals 3 weeks and 3 days.
The week answer is easy to read, but it is still based on the total-day count.
Total months need real dates
Months do not have one fixed length. A month can have 28, 29, 30 or 31 days.
Because of this, you should not divide total days by 30 when you need an exact month answer. Count full calendar months from the starting date instead.
What about hours and minutes?
A date-only calculator starts each date at the same point in the day. It does not know the birth time.
For an exact difference in hours or minutes, you need both birth times and the correct time zones.
Which result is best?
- Use years, months and days for an easy age description.
- Use total days when you need one exact number.
- Use weeks for short gaps.
- Use birth times only when hours and minutes truly matter.
